Our days out

Exploring and having fun

Discover the Charleroi Region with the whole family: stimulate your children's curiosity with trails and games in the city centre or have them discover the slag heaps as part of an adventure activity, or take them to a huge playground where they can let off steam...

  1. 1 Trésors cachés

    Hidden treasures of facades

This child-friendly city tour is designed to encourage young explorers to develop their sense of observation and take an interest in architecture. They will be provided with an information booklet to help them as they persevere at completing the 11-stage street circuit.
  2. 2 Totemus

    Totemus Charleroi

Totemus, somewhere between a treasure hunt and geocaching, is an opportunity to search for clues while discovering the less well-known sides of Charleroi's history. Have fun finding the totem pole and collecting toteez.
  3. 3 Course dorientation

An orienteering course at the Bois du Cazier

An ideal activity for the whole family. Find your location on the map, look for the markers and discover the treasure! A challenge to be met at your own pace for young and old alike on the former Bois du Cazier mining site and its slag heaps.
  4. 4 Castorland

Located in a green setting surrounded by a stream, Castorland offers a variety of entertainment options: a huge playground with an area for 3–6-year-olds and 6–14-year-olds, an educational farm with small farm animals, ponies, horses, a fitness trail and a multifunctional sporting venue.
