Croix Sauvage

Description

The walk takes you to the chalk dome between Dourbes and Olloy. Set off to discover the Frimoye quarry, which is listed as a nature reserve, and whose southern cliffs are the nesting ground of the eagle owl, the protected nocturnal raptor. The rest of the journey leads you discover an archaeological dig on the ‘plateau des Cinques’ on a proto-historic fortification in the shape of a spur truncated by two ramparts that are two hundred metres apart.
