EuroVelo 3: Guise - Senlis

Description

This itinerary, which departs from the fortified castle in Guise, opens on to the bucolic Oise and the beauty of this river's bends. It was called "La Vallée d’Or" ("The Valley of Gold") by Stevenson during his canoe trip along the rivers of the north. After the river bends of the Oise between Guise and Noyon, head towards the forests of Compiègne, Halatte and Ermenonville where you will find hidden gems such as castles, royal abbeys or even the medieval city of Senlis. At Pontpoint, the route leaves the Oise river and the Route Stevenson to follow Moncel royal abbey before reaching the foliage of Halatte forest. The Scandibérique evolves into the kingdom of the stag!
