JEDAI (Joyeuse Escorte du Doigt d’Alzon International) is a quirky and colourful folk festival in Charleroi, organised every first weekend in June by the Confrérie du Doigt d’Alzon. It features a humorous procession in which the famous ‘finger’ is escorted through the city in a festive, surreal and good-natured atmosphere.

A parody of local traditions, the JEDAI brings together costumed and eccentric groups who parade through Charleroi, combining self-mockery, creativity and a friendly spirit, whilst sometimes conveying original awareness-raising messages.
