Practical information
Description
Requisitioned by the Germans during the First World War and again during the Second World War and the occupation of Belgium, the shooting range then became the site of the execution of around fifty people, mainly resistance fighters. In 2015, the Youth Service of the City of Charleroi and Hainaut Mémoire (Permanent Education and Youth Department of the Province of Hainaut) joined forces to highlight this remarkable site, where one can still see the cell and the execution post.
This entirely free event will take place (this year on Friday, 19 September 2025) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note the presence of vintage vehicles (US Willis Jeeps, etc.).
