From the Tower of the Roton, a 9 km itinerary will take the walkers fi rst to the Monard forest, a nature reserve huddled on the north slope of the Sambre. They will discover a wide variety of wild plants and trees of our region there as well as an educational pond destined to welcome newts, frogs and aquatic plants. They can continue their walk to the coal tip of Aulniats and get back on the
